Sasha Grey Making Noise

Posted by: Adam Morrison | Feb 17 2010 4:20PM

Did you know that Sasha Grey, the 21-year-old model/actress famous for starring in the non-pornographic movie "The Girlfriend Experience" (plus about 188 other films), is in a band?

They're called ATelecine, and they're probably not exactly what you'd expect—their influences are listed as "Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster and if you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes into you." In addition to vocals, Sasha does some synth, tape loops, and guitar.

The release date for the trio's debut album, A Cassette Tape Culture, has been pushed back to April 27th. Their vinyl-only EP, aVigillant Carpark, came out in 2008.

Click here to check out ATelecine's MySpace page, and click here to browse Sasha Grey's IMDB profile—there's some explicit content there, obviously.

Ska-loving Connecticut rock band with six members—three women, and three guys named Brian.

Sounds like No Doubt, but with more guts.
