Iggy Pop, Hollies, Bee Gees, Abba, Genesis and Jimmy Cliff, all now among the residents at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Graham Nash comments in general terms, Wyclef Jean on Jimmy Cliff, and the coolest cat in a black jacket, Iggy not only speaks on the induction of the Stooges, he rocks one of their best.    I've included the clip below.   Enjoy.

ABBA... this is another example of how "sh-tuff" happens and there's nothing to do but pick up one's jaw and keep on truckin'...

Jeff Woods: :)

well, the awards are great, are we running out of good ones to laud?

Jeff Woods: I think the Hall has likely done a great job of 'holding back'. Which is why I always laugh at the 'petitions' people stage to get artists in ... if they were all get in upon eligibility (25 years after first album), to your point, we would have run out long ago! cheers Elaine

Finally ... I mean it would almost 'go with the grain' for Iggy to be left out - but his contribution to music is undeniable. I remember seeing The Stooges play live about 5 years ago and expected a bunch of wrinkled fossils - completely the opposite. That was one of the most intense gigs I've been to - the guy is just 'full on'. So glad his name is up with the greatest now, because it always was with me.

Jeff Woods: I saw that gig, a few years ago at Massey Hall, and wow, ranks among my favourite shows, period, and from a bunch of guys over 50, with more energy than a lot of bands half their age. Cheers Jason.

Jeff, good to see Iggy finally getting his due. However, I really gotta take exception to ABBA being inducted. This is, after all, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, not the Disco Hall Of Fame. Maybe it's just me, but someone's gotta draw the line somewhere.

Jeff Woods: Could not agree more. What a pant-load.

Hi Jeff, Well it looks like your man has made it..should have been a while ago...but it seems alot of these awards tend to go to those who have already passed as well.. Happy Sunny day! cheers

Jeff Woods: Love the sun! And the fact that Iggy's in!
