(update Feb 10 11:30am ... thanks for your comments and letting me know UMG have blocked viewing of the video I first posted .. I've found  an alernate version that actually includes Neil speaking, below for you to check out ..... cheers, jw)

If you like Rush this is for you.  If you like NHL Hockey this is for you.  If you love Rush and NHL Hockey, is this EVER for you.

Neil Peart of Rush is not suprisingly a great interview, as I found out a few years ago as Rush were about to release 'Snakes and Arrows'.  Having not only been a longtime Rush fan, but also a fan of the Rush drummer as an author and motorbike rider, I couldn't have been more pleased to get a face to face, especially next to his drum kit which has to be seen up close, to be fully appreciated.  (it's like a board game of drums and cymbals, with a little space through which Neil can enter, and proceed to his throne to play).

If you aren't aware, recently Neil recorded a drum-based version of The Hockey Theme and shot a video to go with it, playing a custom-made kit bearing the insignias of all of the NHL teams.  I've included the video below, and for a recent interview with the music peeps at canoe, featuring Neil in discussion on all things Rush and more, click HERE.

Cheers,

Jeff

Ironic that the particular video you've linked to for a Hockey Night in CANADA themesong, apparently contains content from UMG and is not available in my country (CANADA).

Jeff Woods: I guess nobody taught them how to 'share'. Cheers Alain, I have found a viewable version for you.
