Old Man Luedecke is a roots singer-songwriter originally from Toronto and now based in Chester, Nova Scotia.
In addition to performing at major folk festivals in Canada, the U.S., and Australia, he has shared stages with artists including Feist, bluegrass legend Tim O’Brien, Joel Plaskett, David Francey, Buck 65, The Be Good Tanyas, and Jill Barber. Also, he was commissioned in 2008/2009 by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to write and collaborate on symphonic music that he performed with Symphony Nova Scotia.
OML's third album, 2008's Proof of Love, was named the Best Roots Traditional Solo album at the Juno Awards. The follow-up, My Hands Are On Fire and Other Love Songs, will be released on March 30th in Canada and on March 16th in the States. It brings a unique band sound to Old Man Luedecke’s timeless material, and it also features Tim O’Brien on every track.
